6 Types of Marketing Strategies Examples List to Get Started

MOST successful type of marketing strategy.

You can’t ignore social media. Not in this day and age. That’s where all the so-called magic is happening. Some businesses have been built solely on the backs of social media. It can be scary at first. Sure. Posting on a social media platform and having no one following your profile, or no views/comments. It’s very dis-encouraging. But as you build momentum, you’ll find posting on social media to get easier and easier over time. Your audience will start waiting for each and every post of yours, and the views and comments will flood in.

The key here is CONSISTENCY! Today, social media marketing is a huge part of any business’s marketing plan as it’s a hugely compelling way to drive traffic, build brand awareness, and take advantage of the social selling revelation that’s taking over online marketing. With these figures, if you’re not utilizing an effective social media marketing strategy, you’re missing out on untold rewards.

Of course, you could also hire a social media manager if you have money to burn. But if you don’t, just be yourself. Be authentic. Share your thoughts. Post your products. Post anything that you find relevant and useful that would help your audience either learn more about you and your business, or about the industry that you’re in.

Youtube – Create video tutorials.

The type of marketing strategy that can earn you a second income. (via monetizing your YouTube)

Videos create a sense of 1-2-1 effectiveness. Once someone can put a face to your name, your brand will automatically be more reputable. People buy people.

You could have a “useless” product so to say, however if someone posted a video reiew showing how much they love it, that will bring you in sales like no tomorrow. Human nature – we trust our peers. So take advantage of this marketing strategy my lovelies.

Creating video tutorials is one of the most effective traditional marketing tactics to get the word out about your business and drive traffic to an online store. Teach people something useful and walk them through it, providing step-by-step tutorials. The better you are at this, and the more value you provide, the quicker you can boost your visibility, and ultimately, your sales. Video marketing, leveraging technology that didn’t exist traditionally, can play a crucial role in achieving this. By incorporating traditional marketing into your digital marketing strategy, you can leverage its power to boost brand awareness, generate conversions, and close deals with current and prospective customers.

Some video marketing apps even allow you to analyze, nurture, and score leads based on their activity. Google manages to market multiple product lines in different niches successfully. How? We explained Google’s approach in our blog post on their marketing tactics. The marketing campaign is an essential part of any marketing strategy, as it outlines the specific actions and tactics to be used to achieve the desired marketing goals.

Do reviews – people love reviews. Before buying a product almost 80% of customers check reviews of the product worth.

Today, YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world behind Google. Whenever someone wants to learn something visually, they head there. You’ve likely done it yourself countless times. So just ask yourself what you could teach in your business that would help consumers solve some pain point?

“I don’t want to face the camera – I’m too shy?”

I myself am a pretty shy person, will conquer the world in my bedroom in front of the mirror, but when it comes to showing my self physically – hell no! (that’s why I chose the 3rd strategy to market myself)

Yes – for some it can be the hardest part? Hearing your own voice playing back and even seeing yourself. Now, you don’t have to appear visually on camera, but you’ll likely need to be heard. You get used to it over time. But you can’t ignore the visibility and reach of YouTube so get out there and start making authentic and useful videos today.

My MOST used marketing strategy.

If you don’t have a blog for your business, then you should consider starting one.

Blogging is a WHOLE different chapter my lovelies, don’t just start writing for the sake of it. Otherwise your blog will get no visibility. Starting a blog itself can replace a full time income if followed by the right steps.

But you don’t just have to blog on your own blog.

Most people find blogging mundane because they lack the visibility. The truth is that your blog is going to be like a barren desert unless you know what you’re doing.

If you don’t want the pressure of maintaining your OWN blog, you should start authority blogging. Use platforms like Medium to post content. Answer questions on Quora and Reddit. Or get out there onto LinkedIn’s publishing platform.

Having trouble promoting LinkedIn? Check out this post for some great tips to help you get going.

The above are all authority domains that anyone can post on, which have massive audiences, giving you instant and immediate reach right now.

If you do decide to blog on you OWN platform, ensure that you blog effectively. Don’t post thin content. Think about adding value and maintaining your content quality.

Pro Tip – Give people so much value that you instantly become an authority in their eyes. This is one of the most powerful strategies you can use to market any business.

Search engine optimization (SEO).

My ultimate favourite marketing strategy!

Oh SEO, I’m incredibly passionate about SEO. But it’s also an area that not just me but many people are frightened by. Yes, SEO can be frightening.

But it can also be powerful. And when you learn to leverage it and you learn SEO the right way, the sky truly is the limit.

Just like in any business, you have to put in the work and the time if you want to see the results with SEO.

Consistency is key and studying SEO and how to use it with your business can take your business off the ground. Its highly related to keywords, including what keywords your product has and how they impact your search results. It also ranks based on your domain authority. All of which Google analyzes and ranks you higher each time you tick their box. One effective way to improve your search engine rankings and increase website traffic is through search engine marketing (SEM). SEM can benefit any type of business, whether it’s a B2B company selling software or a B2C e-commerce company. By utilizing SEM strategies, businesses can improve their reach and attract more visitors to their website.

Don’t spam keywords.

Hands down. This is one of the biggest mistakes most people make. Create your content for humans while also paying homage to search engines. But more importantly, ensure that whatever it is that you’re conveying is insightful, engaging, unique and adds a tremendous amount of value.

Leverage influencers.

Spending a bit of a dime type of marketing strategy.

Want to get the word out there and boost your visibility on social media without taking years to build the audience? Then you should certainly leverage influencers.

How to find the right influencer, you say?

Instagram is a great way to tap into an existing community of engaged followers on social media. It is a famous platform widely used for this style of marketing. You don’t have to go with influencers with millions of followers. You could opt for micro-influencers with tens of thousands or even a hundred thousand followers. Find an influencer who has great engagement with its followers, that way your product is more likely to be trusted when showcased by your chosen influencer. Influencer marketing is a powerful strategy that can help you attract potential customers and get more people from your target audience to try out a company.

By partnering with influencers who are considered experts in their niches, you can build loyalty and trust from the target audience you are trying to reach. To get started with influencer marketing, it is important to first build your influencer marketing strategy and define the type of influencer you’re targeting. Affiliate marketing is another effective strategy that can help brands reach a wider audience and generate sales. It involves paying a commission to people, known as affiliates, who advertise the products and drive sales through their unique referral links. By incorporating affiliate marketing into your overall marketing strategy, you can incentivize others to promote your products and earn a reward for their efforts.

To attract new customers, you can also implement word of mouth marketing. This marketing strategy relies on existing customers referring your business to new customers. A common way to encourage customers to refer friends is to offer some kind of incentive, such as a discount or bonus for referring your business. Personalized marketing uses detailed customer data to serve relevant content, product recommendations, and ads based on key signifiers, like their interests, past browsing behavior, and demographics. 91% of consumers say they are more likely to buy from a brand that provides relevant offers and recommendations.

The trick? Find the right influencer in your niche so that you’re targeting the right audience. It’s not just about spreading your message.

Say you have a dog product but you pitch it to a makeup artist? Hmm the math just doesn’t add up there.

Niche research is KEY!

It’s about spreading your message to the right consumer base. If you can do that properly, then you can likely reach a sizable audience for not much money invested when you think about the potential profit it can return.

Reach out to influencers and gauge their pricing. This can be done by simply sending them a DM or dropping them an email. Do small tests and see what works, then scale.

Email Marketing Sequences.

The computer geek type of marketing strategy.

Part of any good sales funnel is going to be an email marketing sequence. These are the automated messages that go out to users once they subscribe to your list. Use your email sequence to build a relationship with the subscriber.

Be authentic and transparent. And convey your journey.

Obtaining subscribers and setting up a booth at trade shows is a good way to reach company clients in person. Because they are YOURS! When you rely on 3rd party platforms to leverage your business, such as social media? You are not totally in charge of your consumers. Social media could go down? You will be left with nothing.

However, building an email mailing list and attending trade shows will ALWAYS be an excellent way to ensure that you have direct access to your audience, without relying on external platforms. Your email list is a valuable asset that allows you to continue a conversation with people who have expressed interest in your brand. Email campaigns can be used to increase brand awareness, generate traffic to other channels, promote products or services, nurture leads toward a purchase, and implement direct marketing strategies such as sending out company announcements, coupons or promotions through direct mail marketing materials.

Email marketing, leading upto suscribers is not easy, it can take time.

Some Popular email channels included:

Convertkit – paid service

Mailchimp – free upto 2000 subscribers

Mailerlite – free upto 1000 subscribers

Make nice landing pages which attract your consumers allowing them to opt-in to your email list and subscribe.

You never really do know what’s going to be the most effective until you pull the trigger and really test it out. This will help you understand what your audience responds to better, making you a better communicator, and better able to sell to your customers.

There you have it… 6 TOP types of marketing strategies for your business growth!

These are probably going to be the best marketing strategies of all time.
